Sun Pictures Catalogue Twenty-Three accompanies the show of more than 25 waxed paper negatives and salt prints by John Beasley Greene of Paris, Egypt, and Algeria made before Greene’s premature death at age 24 in 1856. Greene’s images of archaeological digs, ancient monuments, and landscapes span his entire career from his formative period as a student of Gustave Le Gray, his two archaeological campaigns in Egypt, to Greene’s final journey to Algeria.
