Hans P. Kraus Jr. Inc. is featured in the May 2022 issue of Art & Antiques magazine's preview of AIPAD | The Photography Show at Center415 in New York City. The story of photography begins with William Henry Fox Talbot, who along with Louis Daguerre found a way to fix fleeting images on a surface in the 1830s. Talbot's negative-positive process became the basis for all that followed. Dealer Hans P. Kraus Jr., one of the leading authorities on early photography, will be exhibiting works by Talbot alongside those of other pioneers. A high-quality print of the last plate in Talbot's seminal photobook The Pencil of Nature, a still-life titled The Fruit Piece will be on offer at Kraus' booth.
